The Affects of Gay Marriage

The issue of homosexual marriage legislation by the Supreme Court in June 2015 has stirred many reactions. The issue has become a dividing factor amongst supporters, sympathizers, and condemners. So to avoid the conflict, some will say it doesn’t matter, or that we should not bring it up lest we divide. However, division is because we do not agree with what God says and insist on our ways against a righteous standard set by Him.

Did you know that homosexual marriage is now allowed in the U.S., Canada, and the UK? It is a growing tolerance and acceptance. However, that still does not steer the hand of God away from what He declared unrighteous and not what He ordained for marriage as clearly stated in scriptures (Genesis 2). He specifically considers it an abomination against Him (Lev 18:22).

So many Christians have given in to acceptance of sin because they claim speaking against it is not forgiving or not loving. So now agreeing with God is not the in thing because it causes division.

What people have used to discredit the issue is 1) thinking that God is not concerned with it because He loves all, and therefore we shall accept sin. 2) thinking that we are judgmental by having a comment against it, 3) Christians who do not regard the “love the sinner, but hate the sin” attitude and have approached it in haste and hatred, badgering and acting in violence has given the issue a bad case.

The message is not that we hate the sinner. We have hope and want to encourage sinners to come to Jesus Christ for salvation because of sin. Is that hateful? No, but the legislation is a statement that the nations have turned from God as a whole. Remember what He did with Sodom and Gomorrah? They were judged for perversions (God’s interpretation). As was in the days of Noah. It will affect the world because God has to judge sin. He is not only a loving God, but also a God of justice. We force His hand by demanding the issue. However, He has given a provision for every person. That if they come to Jesus and repent of their sin, they will be saved. That means any sinner, whether fornicator, thief, sodomite, whatever. BUT that they turn from their wicked ways and not remain in it. That is the grace allowed, not grace as the acceptance of sin.

We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Just that it is our duty to turn a sinner away from his sin. We are called to restore such a person in a fault (Gal 6). We want them reconciled with a holy God. And that is the way of Yahweh God through Yahshua Jesus so they can be free from the bondage of sin.

The Rainbow used as a symbol

In Genesis 6 God commanded Noah to build an ark because of the judgment he was placing upon the earth in a flood. Sons of God came into daughters of men. And in Gen 6:5 it tells, “And GOD saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually.” They were practicing sexual perversions and sodomy and such.

God destroyed all flesh, except Noah, his family, and the species of animals, in a flood. He then made a covenant with man that He would not flood the earth again.

[Gen 9:12-17] 12 And God said, This [is] the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that [is] with you, for perpetual generations: 13 I do set my rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. 14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud: 15 And I will remember my covenant, which [is] between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 And the rainbow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that [is] upon the earth. 17 And God said unto Noah, This [is] the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that [is] upon the earth.

The rainbow was God’s covenant for using a flood to judge the world’s wickedness (perversions) against Him. And now the perversions of man prevail USING THE RAINBOW AS A SYMBOL OF THEIR PRIDE. The gay pride flag is a rainbow mocking God for His covenant for judging the world of acts against Him.

Other scriptures to consider.

[1Ki 14:24] 24 And there were also sodomites in the land: [and] they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
[1Ki 15:12] 12 And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
[Rom 1:27-28] 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;
[1Co 6:9-10] 9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
