A Christian magazine has given up on President Trump. The Evangelical magazine Christianity Today published an editorial titled, “Trump Should Be Removed from Office.
Editor for a popular Evangelical Christian magazine hammered President Trump and called for Impeachment.
Christianity Today editor Mark Galli broke the Evangelical unanimous support of President Trump in his recent article explaining how he agrees with the Impeachment of Trump.
“If we don’t reverse course now, will anyone take anything we say about justice and righteousness with any seriousness for decades to come?” Editor-in-Chief Mark Galli asks readers. “Can we say with a straight face that abortion is a great evil that cannot be tolerated and, with the same straight face, say that the bent and broken character of our nation’s leader doesn’t really matter in the end?”
The editorial argues that Trump’s character makes him unfit for office, necessitating either a Senate removal or an ouster at the polls in 2020. The editor called out the inconsistency of Trump’s “gross immorality and ethical incompetence.”
Now I don’t endorse this magazine and have issues with it. However to state the point, Christianity Today has taken a bold stance by questioning the much lifted up Evangelical candidate that all Christians are encouraged and urged to stand behind for the future of the Christian faith. Most of the Evangelical circles and its organizations have aligned themselves with Trump and failed to call out his moral deficiencies. CT finally came out from among the clan.
Trump was elected mostly because of the Evangelical community. The card was played in favor of a Republican Candidate this time around. Steve Bannon, a political strategist who is also an occultist, suggested Trump play the “Christian” character to appease the base that would enforce that card had a shot. However it was not Trump who coined the phrases used in his campaign. Bannon took suggestion from the psychological analysis group Cambridge Analytica. They determined by algorithm analysis that the worthy phrases to get that support necessary would include:
“Drain the swamp”
“Make America Great Again”
“Throw her (Hillary) in jail”
“Build the wall”
And the candidate to grab those lines would be endorsed by the Heritage Foundation for the worthy candidate on that side and would get the backing of the Evangelical community.
The Evangelical community has been excusing this guy. Despite his inefficiencies, they say he is God’s choice, and God doesn’t always use perfect pure moral men. His spiritual adviser Paula White is also a turn off to me.
Now, I am not invovled in the political process to agree with CT’s call for Impeachment for these reasons, but I do agree with their assessment of Trump, and have vilified his behavior, his attitude, and even his “wolf in sheep’s clothing” potential myself. My grievance with Trump is that he is using Evangelicals, and the Evangelical organizations are using Trump for the political agenda and deceiving the people of Christ. But politics in general is an agenda anyway, which some do not recognize.
Evangelicals at Christianity Today are expressing their disapproval of their associates praising the president for his policies while actively ignoring his immoral actions. I also agree that enough is enough with those Christians making excuses overlooking his immoral character and touting him like he is the next Messiah. Just only if CT would agree with me that the whole process is a sham and we are merely observers of a stage for Elite control.
Trump has retaliated by calling CT a “far-left magazine.” He is all for anyone approving of him, until they don’t. Then he hurls insults to defend his reputation and explain their turning on him as something of their fault.
