Christians want unity above all else. But how when we have divisions, contentions, and separation of doctrine? We have denominational sects and difference of interpretation. How did this happen?
[1Co 1:10-14 KJV] 10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them [which are of the house] of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
You see, some boast that THEY baptized so many or have numbers of decisions to add to their cap. They divide over which Pastor they honor (megachurch and such), or which denomination they prefer.
Little do people know the Illuminati and Secret Societies were the biggest cause of such divisions (as workers of Satan). They influenced offshoot doctrines and then divisions of interpretation to sway us from the simple oracles of faith. The Jesuits were influential in stressing LOVE and TOLERANCE over RIGHTEOUSNESS AND TRUTH to water down the essential message of the gospel and to bring us under a false ecumenical unity. The mystic sects such as Rosicrucians (Theosophists) were influencing the church with New Age and charismatic faith that superseded foundational scriptural belief with manifestations, signs and wonders (lying signs and wonders) and with faith that is presumptuous, as well as positive affirmation of prosperity gospels and such.
Then on top of that those of us who expose such darkness are accused by them of division ourselves, of heresy in some cases, even in chewing up our fellow brothers and sisters. But that because we got into this dilemma in the first place, which is why Jude had to switch from speaking of the common faith to the warning of those who crept in to change the gospel.
Let those who speak the message of grace continue to speak on grace, but with rightly dividing the Word of truth. As discerning truth rather than avoiding judgment as to think somehow it more noble to avoid being charged of “judging” and ONLY preach on the common faith and avoid the rest. That is fallacy as well. Sometimes we must point out the fallacies to reconcile each to the truth.
Also do not judge or criticize others who have a call to expose the darkness. Or it is YOU who have divided, not those of us who have a calling as Watchmen. But let is do all things for edification, for reconciliation, not for condemnation.
Remember, to create a false rendering of UNITY without the Holy Spirit uniting is not correct. To have unity WITHOUT righteousness and truth is off. We cannot fellowship light with darkness. And many Christians hold darkness in their heart to avoid confrontation. We have to sharpen iron with iron and truth is the foundation. Jesus Christ is the goal. Sometimes that temporarily divides. And sometimes the truth stings. But to avoid it is peril.
