Popular Artist Lauren Daigle Compromises Bible to Be Relevant

Lauren Daigle

Popular contemporary Christian music (CCM) compromised her knowledge of the Bible to be relevant…

In an interview with Nati on the Domenick Nati Show, when asked if she feels that homosexuality is sin, popular Christian “artist” Lauren Daigle stated she can’t answer whether homosexuality is a sin because there are people that she loves that are homosexual and she is not God.

Daigle compromised the truth to be relevant as she has been invited on the Ellen show and other secular talk shows and is making a name for herself in the secular entertainment world. Does popularity require sacrifice of values and righteousness? Obviously there is a price.

She responded, “You know, I can’t honestly answer on that, in the sense of I have too many people that I love—that they are homosexuals.” She added that people should read the Bible to find out for themselves, and let her know what they learn. “I don’t know. I actually had a conversation with someone last night about it. I can’t say one way or the other. I’m not God,” she continued. “So, when people ask questions like that, that’s what my go to is.

Well Lauren, it isn’t what you “feel.” If you don’t know, why don’t you just read YOUR Bible and find out? Several passages address what God thinks of homosexuality. One is Romans 1:27 that is clear,

 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

The singer seems to have sold out to accommodate an audience. Several do this while making an attempt to be relevant and “cross over” to other genres and a wider audience. Rather than speak for truth, they compromise to be acceptable. In their intent and defense, they think it is a way to get the gospel through divisions and reach an audience that otherwise may not be interested. However, we have seen this in high profile performers. We have to wonder if she had been taught in error by a watered-down message and spoon-fed this deception to be popular. The are confused themselves what is true. And that even in the Christian sector.

By sacrificing truth and making the account of sin irrelevant, that one is actually degrading the message because they haven’t made it clear the reason the person needs salvation, nor does a watered-down message address their sin that separated them from God. In that manner, they have led a person to a false perception and actually sold another gospel. One that leads to hell and doesn’t require surrender or accountability.

[Gal 6:1 KJV] 1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Lauren, you have a bigger obligation than to just make people “feel good” and entertain them. Your message has to agree with God, lest you send a person to hell.

[Jas 5:20 KJV] 20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
