Satanism as a political movement.
Satanism used to be a taboo belief practiced in private secret places. Now its practitioners are petitioning for political rights and have come out of the closet into the mainstream. Claiming to be atheist, or “anti-theist” this belief claims to use Satan as merely a metaphor. Yet it holds the essence of pride and self worship, which is the personification of Satan, save the worship offerings. However, we cannot be sure that isn’t still practiced either. We will examine how Satanism is now an accepted household term.
