[Rev 13:18 KJV] 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six.
People are looking for the symbolism of the mysterious 666 in a man. They look for a man to physically have it written on his forehead as a display that HE is the one whom is the Son of Perdition.
The verbiage is that it is six hundred and threescore six, that I believe is more than a symbol. It is a statement that under the Beast system, one will solely be given in to the ways of man, to the Beast and the world. 6 is the number of man. 666 is man to his extreme narcissism, disregarding God and building one’s own ways in the flesh.
The number stands for a man, who is an incarnation of the teacher of narcissism, Lucifer himself (Isaiah 14, Gen 3), teaching man he can become his own God. And persuading him to participate in his system without turning back (to receive the mark…)
Occultists believe that by publicly using 666 one is summoning Lucifer (or in the case of Theosophy, calling to Ascended Masters, which are in essence summoning demons). They flash it whenever possible for power and energy (in speeches using the “OK” sign, on logos like Google, CERN, and Monster Drink, etc). And it is used as a communication.
But many consider that it will literally be attributed to a specific man. The one who will be Antichrist. There are a lot of people we could put in the position. In the past we would have guessed Nero, Constantine, Napoleon, Stalin, Hitler, even Obama, as well as any one of the Popes. Some have even looked at Prince Charles and Prince Andrew. Or Someone like Edogen of Turkey. People come up with all kinds of speculation. Truth is, we will not know for sure until it is revealed.
[2Th 2:3 KJV] 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
We know it will involve the commerce system. That because scripture states that one will be able to buy or sell without the mark if the Beast.
[Rev 13:17 KJV] 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Many have also speculated the evidence of this mark. Scripture tells how one will receive it.
[Rev 13:16 KJV] 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads…
Will it be a visible physical mark or just a figurative acceptance? There has been discussion over the terminology whether that passage means a mark IN or a mark ON. “On” sounds like a tattoo. “In” sounds like an inserted chip. Because of technology proposing such inventions, many have suspected for years that the mark MUST mean an RFID chip.
The UPC has been suspected as the precursor to the chip. Now we have the smart chips in our credit cards and licenses. The scannable dark lines on UPCs contains what is called “gates.” it tells the scanner what is open, middle, and closing gate using the binary digit 6. While 6s are used and it is related to the Beast computerized system, possibly even tied into the large Cray computer in Brussels, it is only the surface. The mark of the Beast that is six hundred and sixty-six will likely involve the Antichrist and system of commerce, but it will more likely involve man’s will to comply directly with the system by accepting the Beast’s mark to buy and sell.
Many think it is a chip (RFID) in the hand or forehead because it seems most plausible. But the RFID, like the scanning gates, are so archaic they have moved well beyond that technology. As some believe, the mark IN the right hand or IN the forehead indicate to them that it could be figurative for working labor with the hand and thinking with the head. While I wouldn’t quite make that leap, it could be all these things. Technology exists that DNA is able to be manipulated, marked, and controlled. Perhaps it will a willful agreement by the participant to offer worship unto the Beast and have their DNA activated into the system.
Either way, whatever system is used, do not believe it will be a surprise or that we have to remain in fear that we be suspicious if we are taking the mark. In India and other countries they have been experimenting with Biometric ID technology in which the eyeball and fingertip is scanned to identify the citizen. But again, it is probably going to be universal and the participant undoubtedly aware what it means. And probably not until the Son of Perdition, the Antichrist is first revealed. Otherwise they have no image to worship first. But those who do not have God’s seal will voluntarily (and probably gladly) accept the mark knowing without it he will not eat. And that is a sure initiative. Yet, those who will rather starve will do so in their allegiance to God. But He will provide for them otherwise.
