These celebrities lead a peculiar life. One day they are accused of sexual abuse, then next they claim to be reborn as a Christian. At least that is the case in Russell Brand’s life as well as Kanye. Both who claimed converts to Christianity, Russell Brand more recently after an accusation of sexual abuse. We wonder if this was authentic or a ploy to rid guilt.
Russell Brand got happy for being baptized. Sitting in a lotus position, he shared his expression of doing the act as to “cleanse him of his past.” He announced his intention of going through the ritual at the river Thames that he would be presided over by another pastor.
However, his testimony lacked a godly conviction that one would have when repenting of sin and coming to the faith through a baptism to verify the confession. He also did not speak much about his faith in the savior of Jesus as Lord. Some say to give it time. Does that now make him a believer in Jesus? We shall see.
Though, he did hold up a Tarot card to represent his newfound conversion. Some say he is yet still a baby Christian and doesn’t really know the difference yet, so let him alone. Well we shall surely see some fruit, a genuine testimony, and actions towards the building of faith in Jesus rather than continual announcement of self-declaration. We shall see evidence of repentance if he is truly authentic.
On the other hand, Kanye West went from a claimed conversion to the faith, but then after confessing Jesus as Lord now has come to the conclusion that he declares himself God. All right, you might say we took it out of context. What Kanye said in an interview was that since Jesus didn’t come though for him, he may as well take matters in his own hand and therefore would be just acting like God himself anyway.
But Kanye didn’t stop at declaring his denial or deifying himself as top dog. He has started a sex studio. A porn studio actually. We examine the alleged claims of these enlightenments on this edition.
