Many will say to me, “You Bible thumping Jesus believers think your God is the only way and the only answer despite others gods and religions and philosophies out there…”
The short answer is… “Yes we do.”
Why is it they think THEIR belief is the solution? Why is it their philosophies are more important? They’ll argue that yours isn’t valid yet defend theirs as valid. But then when you point out that they are doing the same thing regarding their philosophy as the only answer, they will say, “I don’t think mine is any more valid…” Well then I won’t regard it as any more valid either…
You see, everyone chooses a worldview that they agree. Whether it is monotheism (one God alone), polytheism (many gods valid at once), atheism (no god regarded), or of other sorts, they have to live their life as according to a worldview. That is the drive of purpose.
While religion is simply under which a culture functions and derives its morals and mode of lifestyle, many will simply turn off the validity of Jesus because of the perception it has conjured. And they think it is of one specific religion. But every standard of morality is derived by religion. Religion means the gathering of people in a culture under a set of dogmas they agree.
Well, some think that Jesus Christ is not valid because it is the essence and representation of religion. And that it is specific to a people of a church who believe. However, Jesus Christ (known in various cultures as Yeshua, Yahshua, Yahsha, Yesu) is offered to the world for the remission of sin against God Creator of heaven and earth. That is valid to ALL cultures.
However, in the beginning the people banded AGAINST God to form their justified mode of culture. Probably an influence of the Tyrants (Genesis 6) in which men habitated with daughters of men creating a counterfeit race of celestial/terrestial beings we call Nephlilim who may have been the foundation for worshiping hybrid-looking gods (as archeology assumes). The variations, starting with monotheism to another god (Nimrod/Sun god/Saturn/Mithras/Baal…), derived into variations and personifications of moods of gods creating many gods operating simultaneously (polytheism). Then of course the philosophies to explain how they coincide together in that they argue, make pacts and appeasements (Greek and Roman mythology). But all in all, the same MONOTHEISTIC God still overlooks them ALL and is still Creator of the heavens and earth and all that is in them.
Since the beginning, mankind deviated from the line of relationship with God. He had to even start over at one time bcause it became constantly wicked (Genesis 1-10). Then after the rising up AGAIN to false religion in Babylon (Genesis 11, etc), He confused their language and set them into divisions of nations and tribes on the earth. BUT with the notion that He would represent His truth through ONE tribe – the Israelites, setting up laws because of transgression. However, with a promise that a new covenant would appear for the whole world. That covenant, was the prophesied Messiah. Jesus Christ/Yahshua Messiach/Yesu is the promise to the whole world for the solution of sin, of death (eternally), and for the mode of moral living in righteousness.
Many cultures adopt SOME of the influence, yet disregard the person whom sent it; having a form of godliness, but denying its power (2 Tim 3:5). So they miss the benefit of eternal life and forgiveness of sin. But also miss the opportunity for a personal relationship with that very Creator. And then the culture turns wicked and self-righteous against God.
So is it any wonder why we have the variations we have to distract from the One True God? Satan, the master adversary knows any honor to any other variation gives him glory. And that is how he saturated the market and muddied the waters. And the vain philosophies imagined keep reaching for answers and just simply avoid the one true solution. But the One True God still calls out to His creation as the ONLY valid solution and true religion. What would it be like if all the world would see this? Since it is not likely, that is why we are forewarned in prophecy the outcome and why we must have judgment.
If any has sin against the Almighty Creator One True God, there is a remedy. While God cannot look upon us as sin separates, He did offer a sacrifice to stand in our stead and give our merit for what we fall short in. By trusting in Jesus Christ for the remission (payment and washing away) of sin, one is seen by God through Jesus and thus it is counted to him for righteousness and we are declared righteous because of what Jesus did if we put our trust in Him (believing).
Do you accept the solution, or live in the vain philosophies constantly reaching and avoiding the obvious?
