Spielberg’s film Disclosure Day takes on the narrative of the recently released government UFO files. Speculation claims that what Spielberg aimed for was to shake up the Christian faith by his documentation of possibility of aliens from other planets. These extraterrestrials would prove to Christians that biblical Christianity is false. But that’s not what Spielberg necessarily said.
Spielberg’s movie arrived at exactly the moment the U.S. government was releasing additional UAP material in 2026. The Department of War began releasing UAP files through the PURSUE program in May, followed by additional releases in June and July.
The question becomes if extraterrestrials were actually proven to exist, would that disprove Christianity—or would Christians simply discover that they had confused what the Bible actually says with what they assumed it says?
